I had been thinking about trying the Alexander Technique for many years until my back pain finally convinced me to give it a try last year. The technique has taught me to recognize and stop using all the unnecessary muscles I have been using in every day movement. It has taught me to teach myself to move more like a natural human being is designed to move, not to mention, I have much better posture and my back pain has improved.
